Deputy Registrar Academic and Students' Affairs

The key function for the Academic Affairs Division is to provide academic coherence and direction for the University, as well as to ensure the quality of both the curriculum and the faculty members by whom it is taught. It is also mandated to create the academic policies, practices, timetables and guidelines.

The Office of Academic Affairs is charged with coordination of the University’s academic programs. It fulfills this responsibility by working in concert with academic deans, other University leaders, faculty and staff to develop, implement, review, and evaluate its academic programs.
Our goals are always: excellence in teaching, research and scholarship, and outreach and extension; distinctive leadership among institutions of higher learning; and an academic work environment that promotes human capital development and cultivates leaders.
Our goals are in line with the University Vision ‘A leading University of Choice that promotes excellence in learning and service delivery’, and the Mission; ‘To develop leaders and professionals through teaching, training, consultancy, research and innovation for socioeconomic development’.
